October 10, 2008 Random Internet Wisdom, religion Comments OffI am concerned about what Christians’ hell-belief does to their interactions with nonbelievers in the present. How can I expect to be treated as an equal, worthy of respect and dignity, when interacting with someone who is convinced that I am destined for the worst sort of punishment they can imagine? And not only am I destined for this fate, but I am assumed to deserve it!

More burnin’ stupid
August 20, 2008 religion Comments OffI admit I don’t have the scientific expertise to explain the answer to his first question, though I suspect it has something to do with the reason water floats in a sphere in zero gravity (I’m sure there’s footage from one of the shuttle missions on YouTube.) Most planets consist of a segmented crust around a molten liquid core. That’s why we have earthquakes and volcanoes.
As far as his second inane question…*facepalm*.
I hate to even dignify his ridiculous question with an answer, but perhaps it’s because the deer that jump in front of cars and fish that take a fisherman’s bait don’t fucking live to pass on any knowledge to their offspring. That, and the fact that man has only been driving for 100 years and fishing for only a few thousand…
I didn’t even make it past the second question.
I just…blah. It’s one thing to be as smug and condescending as this douchenozzle when you know what you’re talking about. It’s quite another when you don’t.

The stupid…it burns!
July 17, 2008 religion Comments OffText of an actual email received by an atheist blogger:
i saw on your blog that you like to talk about the religion of evolution and trick people by using big words and pretending that science actually proves evolution. I dont know any science or anything and even i know evolution isnt real. for one it isnt in the bible the bible said god made everything in 6 days, not millions of years. second, when we go to the zoo we cant talk to monkies, if we used to be monkies why cant we talk to them? three, how could a monkey become a person over billions of years when they dont live that long? AND why are there still monkies if they turned into people? five, even darwin said he was wrong. on his death bed he converted to christianity and said evolution was a hoax. If there is any science that makes it look like evolution is real then it has to be either a hoax by EVILutionists or put there by god to find out who believes in him.
I hope that after reading my questions you will see that evolution cant be true and people dont come from monkies. i will pray to god asking him to make you think like me.
What do you think, dear reader, is Poe’s Law in play?
