1. Wingnut writes book alleging that Muslim groups are trying to infiltrate Congress and the White House with “intern spies.”
2. Wingnut publishing house publishes the book.
3. Wingnut congresspersons get copies of the book.
4. Wingnut congresspersons send official request for investigation to Sergeant-at-Arms.

What’s next? An official investigation into the presence of pod people in the halls of Congress? How about lizard men from the center of the Earth?

Reading her columns these days, now that she’s been out-batshitted by Glenn Beck and out-babed by Sarah Palin, is not unlike listening to a toothless meth addicted woman at a bar tell you how hot she used to be and won’t you please let her suck your dick for a dollar.

Exactly what “values” are on display here?

Imagine right-wingers had launched an hysterical crusade about how Obama was going to scare school children with a speech about invading aliens. But then the White House released the text of the speech and–voilà!–no mention of invading aliens, would the [Washington Post] then print up a headline, “President Seeks to Avoid Aliens in Speech to Schools”?

The sad part is, considering how the press willingly allows itself to be led around by the GOP Noise Machine, I’m afraid the answer would be yes…
