Hmmm…now THIS is interesting…

Since we’re going to be hearing a lot about health insurance and government in the coming weeks, someone took the time to note the top 10 House and top 10 Senate members who have received campaign contributions from the health insurance industry.

You know that thing that self-described “centrists” and libertarians like to say about how “both parties are equally guilty” and yadda-yadda-yadda?

Turns out…that’s bullshit.

Of the top 10 Senators who have received money from Big Insurance, 6 are Republicans (1 Independent). Of the top 10 Representatives, 7 are Republicans.

However, as Bob Cesca bipartisanly notes, “anything you hear from these lawmakers about healthcare reform has to be filtered through the prism that they’ve been bribed by the health insurance mafia.”
